This part 2 of started as a manual for pathtivism in grassroots activism and how the path can benefit activism, but now has increasingly become a call for seekers to embody their need to bring about change - wise embodiment. Once a seeker chooses conscious action and joins the arena of societal activism, then they bring with them the principles of the path. Simply through involvement path principles will impact the broader movement of grassroots activism. At that point Unity-consciousness and integration will recognise the need for unity and integration within the movement of grassroots activism. Even though the path will be anathema to key rigidities within the movement, the fact that the path seeks unity when bringing about change will impact the movement for the better. It will start to take the guidance out of an outmoded ideology, and seek to unite the 99% in a more harmonious way.

Love and Wisdom

Let’s consider our consciousness directions - sila, truth, love and wisdom. It is compassion that drives us to work with humanity, and when we use our wisdom to see why we are in the mess we are in we recognise the nature of the 2 infrastructures - human and societal. In the first part of thezeer LINK we see that societal infrastructure inhibits our human development, and zandtao presents a way through that to develop within our own human infrastructure and follow the path. Once we follow the path there comes a natural imperative of embodiment, and zandtao is suggesting grassroots activism - pathtivism. Love-wisdom can lead to embodiment as pathtivism.

Sila and Truth

It is then that sila and truth dominate direction. Sila and truth are the directions that can lead to societal harmony. Put simply, truth sees through the delusion and if our actions are true and based in sila - have their own moral integrity - then there is harmony living together.

Typically a current activist will deride with an invective trigger whose sense would be:-

Zandtao, you argue that we are stuck in delusion yet you offer pipedreams as truth and sila.

Zandtao says to pathtivists - within grassroots activism our strategy and actions must be based in sila and truth.

Let us go beyond the pipedream trigger, and examine the movement in terms of sila and truth. A gross generalisation would be that the movement has no sila and will do anything to promote its divided ideologies. There is some compassion in the movement but mostly it is about finance - increasing the wages of wage-slaves although increasingly the movement is concerned with the planet.

Do the 99% trust the movement? No. Why? Mostly the propagandalies presented by the establishment and media. But the propagandalies are not concerned about sila and truth, propagandalies promotes confusion and the delusions of the societal infrastructure. But what if the 99% trusted the movement? Distrust and propagandalies are the metiers of the societal infrastructure, the 99% do not trust government, they do not trust the grassroots movement for reasons already discussed. And sadly are turning to trust demagogues and their emotional rhetoric.

Lies and accepting the delusions make the responses part of the delusion of the societal infrastructure; sila and truth are not. If the movement were founded in sila and truth then the 99% would begin to trust it and unite with the movement.

Sound activists inherently know this. These good activists use right speech because they know any lies will be turned into propagandalies by the media and establishment. The right speech of these activists is a good strategy in response to the strengths of the societal infrastructure. But what if sila and truth became the way forward for the grassroots movement, what if the movement became truth-first? What if the 99% knew they could trust the movement to have sila and be truthful?

When we look at the responses of a significant core of the 99% - the manual workers who have been dismissed by the system-for-the-rich moving to increased automation. This core has been manipulated to become anti-immigration. .zandtao has already suggested that this delusions strategy will eventually fail but why are people turning to these demagogues rather than grassroots activism. Primarily because grassroots activism does not represent the 99% - already discussed, but neither do the demagogues. We have to wait for those delusions to fade.

And when they fade the grassroots movement has to be there. But if that movement is in the current mess it will not be an alternative to the demagogues - it will just be the current mess.

Within the analyses of many in the movement there is truth as to what the system-for-the-rich is, but the delusions arise in the responses eg the 99% will rise up and collectively overthrow the 1%. Such a long-term fantasy (pipedream) is not a rallying call. But what if the movement was a place of sila and truth?

.zandtao has offered a movement of sila and truth as an alternative to system-for-the-rich and the current demagogues presenting opposition but it is still very much a fantasy. But here is a pathtivists approach - use the path to make daily actions that have sila and truth. We are not here to have victory as the masses rise up against the injustices of the 1% because that is fantasy, we are here to work hard to promote sila, truth, love and wisdom. Our actions are to be based in compassion - caring for our people, our fellow workers, our people of different identities. These actions based on the long-term path and harmony with nature will be moral and truthful in the present moment. Do the right action now and not for some future ideological benefit. Analysis needs to show us what the system-for-the-rich is (chapter 11) but we cannot base what we do in some future utopia where somehow there has been a class change as the 1% have somehow been overthrown - some magical peaceful change because the current 99% are so afraid of violence - DESPITE the violence of war that the current system-for-the-rich are directing us towards.

Sila and Truth in the Present Moment

So we have a rallying call - sila and truth in the present moment, but realistically that is still in the realms of fantasy and pipedreams. But it is a way that pathtivists can start to effect change by bringing the path into grassroots activism.

Sila and truth in the present moment might be a rallying call for Eckhart followers but it will have little attraction to the current movement whose ideology-first approach leads to actions that are not always honest and good. The path needs to have a more pragmatic and socially-meaningful approach to being accepted within the movement. And this comes with mindful consuming and mindful labour. The very term mindful can imply path. In terms of a CoA it is difficult to understand why people promoting mindful consuming are not integral to the grassroots movement already - it indicates a definite lack of embodiment of the path. Mindful labour is harder because of the lack of mindful opportunities but mindfulness-within-labour might be integral to the labour movement??

Mindful Avoidance

To zandtao mindful consuming and mindful labour appears to be reasonable societal activities for someone on the path to promote; it goes without saying that a seeker following the path would choose mindful consuming and labour as individual life choices. Why wouldn’t a seeker become involved in a societal movement that promoted mindful consuming and mindful labour?

Quite simply the answer could be a level of avoidance or bypassing. Mindful consuming and mindful labour are life-strategies suitable for all peoples; if someone is not consuming mindfully or not involved with right livelihood then a seeker would have the legitimate duty to raise the question for that person to consider. As a seeker concerned with embodiment zandtao also feels duty-bound to raise the question of seekers-following-the-path as to why they are not promoting mindful consuming and mindful labour. Is this not a duty of embodiment?

zandtao recognises that we must all follow our own paths, and that a seeker might choose to promote mindful consuming and labour within their own circles of like-minded agreement. But the issue of embodiment is the question why are there not more seekers choosing change through grassroots activism? Can the answer be anything other than avoidance or bypassing - not for a particular individual but for seekers and path-followers in general?

Mindful Labour

This first concerns the labour of the 99% - at whatever level of non-ownership you are in. It is important to see clearly whether you are 99% or not - there are only 2 classes based around ownership and level of accumulation. Small business owners are not 1% - they do not have the level of accumulation to exert influence by its investment. If you are an employee in a transnational - labourer or middle management you are employed, have limited accumulation, and can be fired at will. There must be a line in the transnational the crossing of which the person has the accumulation and power to influence global capital flow and decision-making but zandtao does not know where that line is as he has never been a part of transnational structure. For most people conditioning encourages you to think that your identity is with the 1% as a tactic of division; this conditioning particularly applies to the top level of transnational, middle-classes and small business owners. The reality is that we are 99%, and accepting our position in the societal infrastructure is the first step in effecting change.

The 1% are also conditioned even though they benefit in terms of consuming and other benefits from influence and conditioned responses to that influence. Because of our conditioning we believe that the 1% are happy but in my view they generally are not. Other than media betrayals zandtao does not know the 1% so this is speculation but within the societal infrastructure they have accrued great power and influence so if this is not implemented skilfully that responsibility will start to weigh heavily. From the outside it is hard to see evidence for this.

However zandtao addresses the 99% because that is the class he has always belonged to. In terms of labour the 99% are wage-slaves. Within the infrastructure there are various tactics used to divide the 99% but these tactics do not change the basic nature of the wage-slavery. A person’s labour has 2 components:-

Money for survival
Labour for social responsibility

Our labour is our means of survival. But our conditioning encourages us to go to be “successful” in other words go beyond our survival level to have a “better standard of living”. How far we accept the “better standard” influence is a matter of personal assessment, but there is a constant pressure to earn more to spend more. And this constant pressure encourages us to earn more to seek escapism - often leading to addiction.

But our labour is also our means of community improvement or duty. Ideally our community improvement or duty would be carried out as part of our waged involvement. But in reality that waged involvement is usually directed to profit-making for the accumulators.

What we are dealing with in terms of community improvement and duty is compromise; how much compromise are we forced to make to obtain money for survival? If we are part of the business community we tend to be focussed on our work to avoid the cutthroat issues that develop in business. Usually such people are forced to limit their caring to their family. This is a difficult compromise as business tends to be focussed on profit, and the consequences of such profit-making can cause social problems such as damaging environment. The top level (1%) make the decisions that leads to such damage; at lower levels the direct impact of their decision-making is limited. Typically middle management would see the environmental damage but would be unable to effect change without risking their employment. At the production level people have the power of withdrawal of labour. However this power has steadily been diminished by restrictions on trade unions and the increasing automation that reduces the dependence of profits on human labour; middle management have usually been completely compromised and can usually be relied upon to maintain automatic profit-making production.

Many people try to choose caring professions as their means of community involvement or duty. Whilst these professionals are needed the institutions are intentionally underfunded but they do provide sufficient consumer power. Because of the underfunding the institutions these caring people work in do not function well - they passably function, and are never sufficiently funded to enable change. In the Matriellez book zandtao soon after retiring described his own teaching and the restrictions placed on his compassion during his teaching life. At the end he saw himself completely compromised; despite his own initial compassion direction, in the end all he was doing was funding his early retirement. Whilst teaching ought to be a profession for compassion and change the societal infrastructure ensures that those with vocation can never impact educational direction. .zandtao suspects similar in other caring professions.

Most peoples’ labour are directed towards the accumulation aspect of the infrastructure, and the support services are optimally financed to ensure that people can contribute to the world of work. In the healing profession there are health services not geared to proper holistic healing but sufficient healing that they can return to work eg antibiotics. In education people are given sufficient information and develop sufficient skills that they can be used in the world of work. However there is no indication that education will ever provide critical thinking that would enable change - such thinking will be developed in the transnational where the hidden factors maintain the control. Critical thinking within the school-aged is so difficult to control.

In school they provide the illusion of choice through careers - and this illusion of career choice is maintained throughout life. But there is never a situation where an individual can make effective change - as the appalling US delusion says “make a difference”.

So the infrastructure forces the caring into activism beyond work. It is the world of work that causes life’s problems - the extinction events, yet within that world there is unlikely to be effective change currently because the 1% appear not to be questioning themselves and they have the power. Political and grassroots activism is not within that sphere of influence, they are outside trying to look in and make a change. Activism functions mainly as an escape valve, a way of letting-off steam for the activist and a way for the system to say there is activism but people are not sufficiently interested. Current activism - political and grassroots - is unlikely to be able to alter the current infrastructure although they do make some changes - most conceded, some fought for.

Within the sphere of activism there are various inaccurate analyses. zandtao is particularly concerned with the delusions surrounding socialism (inc Marxism and communism). History has shown that revolution as class change cannot be long term effective. In the end many people died without any significant long-term power change (see Eckhart addon). There are 2 reasons. Firstly in a system where money buys success it requires a level of commitment amongst all participants, and participants can be bought off; such a level of commitment that resists financial bribery is a delusion. Class change also requires a commitment of most of the class, given the level of conditioning such a commitment cannot happen.

At this point apathy seems the logical conclusion. If class change - proper democracy - was the objective then it cannot happen. It requires a lifetime of delusion to consider that class change through overthrow can occur.

So there is pathtivism in which there is no delusion. Yes there is an ideal. If all people followed their paths there would be a form of natural utopia. But pathtivism as nature is evolutionary, it is concerned with the evolution of consciousness - follow your path to conscious love and consciousness is consciously evolved. But that is not the only plus. There are what can be called the fruits of the path. As we follow our path we evolve and we get the fruits that are joy and peace that come with that evolution - a selfish motivation if you like. But part of that path is embodiment so when we follow our paths and bring embodiment into daily life there is community improvement and quite often that can bring some level of joy. But to be honest in terms of social evolution and seeing change, the reality of pathtivism is that we get the joy that comes from fulfilling our duty - it is right!! Pathtivism as with the path itself requires discipline. A pathtivist cannot expect for conscious social activism to bring joy of success - the societal infrastructure and its conditioning will not allow that.

Our activism becomes our duty, and it is a lifetime commitment without societal reward. There are fruits on the path but embodiment will not bring those rewards. What we have to understand is that awareness and embodiment are the yin and yang of the path. If we pursue awareness only that will be possible for a while but ultimately leads to spiritual bypassing. If we pursue embodiment only then ego will develop - either egos from success or egos that come from failure. The suffering in embodiment is part of the development of the path. We need awareness that comes from study, learning from practice - meditation or otherwise, and learning from embodiment with its societal failures but with many personal interactions that are rewarding.

One could argue that embodiment is a sacrifice but there will always be some personal interactions that bring joy. But the real joy of the path comes from following and that brings nature’s fruits - those fruits can seduce into spiritual bypassing so beware. And we follow the path because it brings with it the conviction that can cope with societal suffering. Following the path and pathtivism are tautological. The purpose of introducing pathtivism as a term is to avoid the bypassing, and to ensure that the path that includes the embodied activism that comes with clear understanding.

Practical Considerations for Mindful Labour

In terms of your labour what does conditioning want? What does conformity want? The societal infrastructure wants the more able to perpetuate the system - that is the conformity. For these individuals they want the training on the corporate ladder or in the investment of the city, and their community involvement focussed on their families, the upbringing of which will lead to conformity in the next generation. For the 1% they want the healers and educators to be the best so there is financed private care but for others there are financial obstacles to good health and education. For the poor systemically there is little more than survival.

Where is the choice in this? Enable your compassion, and choose your working life to be compassionate; encourage others to be compassionate. Whilst you know such labour will never be financially rewarding you can know it is mindful labour. Avoid careerism as careerism is just a conforming process - keeping your mind focussed on more for yourself whilst building accumulation. For those who are free to be compassionate in their labour look around for the “most compassion”.

And perhaps the most community-oriented is to use your labour in a commune. Whilst your labour is not then being used for the wider community working in a commune could well be a mindful way of using your labour. Economically a commune has less involvement with the societal infrastructure, and whilst the material benefits of a commune are likely to be limited much can be gained in terms of harmony in a skilful commune whose ethos is compassion.

Mindful Consuming

Mindful consuming has two broad categories:-

Mindful Consuming for Personal development
Mindful Consuming for Evolving Society

When we consider mindful consuming for personal development we are primarily looking at consuming for physical, emotional and mental health; in truth if we do this we are also evolving society. It needs to be recognised that what is sold as food contains toxins. These toxins are introduced for various reasons within the food production process to enable profits. Preservatives can be toxic. Antibiotics are introduced into meat and egg production to control disease in the inhuman way we keep our animals for food, if we choose to eat meat and eggs for health reasons or otherwise mindful consuming demands free range. If meat and eggs are not consumed for health reasons there needs to be a strong case why consuming is not vegan. Foods contain addictive additives such as sugar, aspartame, MSG and others. Perhaps the worst aspect of this toxic production is that BIGfood addicts children to sugar. It is hard for parents to prevent children becoming addicted to sugar given all the advertising that addicts children to sugar products.

When we eat these profit-enabling foods the toxicity affects our health on all levels - physical in terms of disease, emotional reactions to the toxins in our bodies and possible mental consequences to the introduction of toxins such as sugar addiction.

Consuming food for health is not easy. Whilst supermarkets offer wide varieties of choice, one of them is not usually organic. We can also be presented with luscious choices for vegetables but bulbous colour is often created through added water. Socially people who ask for a healthy diet can be marked out in a social gathering, and this can have a big impact if those gatherings are connected with careers. This has improved in bill’s lifetime but consuming for health can lead to some level of conflict.

Given the level of toxicity in our diets there becomes a healing component. When this is added to the huge levels of issues concerning well-being we have to consider what is the medical response. There are many concerns with toxic drugs that BIGpharma offers for mental well-being as well as coping with disease. What we take to heal also needs to be a concern for mindful consuming. It is difficult to assess what is appropriate for illness and disease as BIGpharma is deeply involved in the health pipeline from medical education to providing doctors with the drugs through medical reps. Mindful healing is a whole book in itself but zandtao has only sufficient knowledge to flag it as an aspect of mindful consuming.

This brief mention of mindful consuming for personal, emotional and mental well-being is a mere flag, a pathtivist needs to make an effort to understand their own consuming and well-being. Encouraging others to be mindful in what they consume is evolving in itself. For the conformed to question their own consuming of food and medicine might open their eyes to the level of conditioning, and how integral it is to the lack of care and morality in profit-making. Activism is not simply about an ideal, it is well-being by example.

Consuming as escapism is also a huge problem in society - we might include this as mental well-being. When we look at movies we constantly see positive images connected to the consuming of alcohol. It is very rare for a social engagement such as a date not to include alcohol; given the level of sexual abuse that occurs the last thing a person needs to be clear headed enough to give consent is alcohol. Alcohol to a certain level is considered acceptable yet alcohol is toxic. Marijuana might well be less toxic yet it is still an illegal drug. There are many illegal drugs available for escapism, each with varying levels of addiction and degradation attached to them. Mindful consuming would not choose these.

Different aspects of mindful consuming can provide good campaigning collective action for a pathtivist. In such campaigning it is important to try to broaden the understanding of the campaigners to the path itself, the ability of the mind to fragment focusing positively on one issue whilst ignoring or even burying other issues is something to be aware of. A pathtivist needs integration as do people s/he works with.

Along with mindful labour, mindful consuming is the most effective way of evolving society given that the societal infrastructure at the moment cannot have a class change. Whilst the 1% uses mechanisms to increase their accumulation, these mechanisms are based around ongoing income through consuming expenditure. Such mechanisms are based on predictive income, and therefore it is to the benefit of the 1% to control and expand your expenditure.

Within recent accumulation, capitalism that grew beyond feudalism, this control was gained through advertising. And in recent times that advertising in the West has been geared to the nuclear family. Whilst nature fits into a nuclear family such nature and family functions better through an extended family. There is greater consuming within nuclear families, and no ageing wisdom to resist indulgent consuming. Given the traditional emphasis on the nuclear family - worker, homemaker with caring duties for the children, there was a level of predicted expenditure that meant these mechanisms for increased accumulation could flourish.

This advertising has now become computer-driven algorithms in which expenditure can be more closely monitored and in some ways the algorithm can began to choose the way you spend. Resisting the algorithm is mindful.

Connecting to Grassroots Activism

There are 3 areas of the movement that the path needs to find connection to, and these areas are green, political power and trade union power. zandtao does not know green activism but presumes that there is path activism somewhere within the green movement - clip from Batgap interview with green activist (Claire Dubois). But green activism is distant from the main focus of the grassroots movement. zandtao could understand embodiment being within green activism, but when we see the nature of societal infrastructure and system-for-the-rich green activism is limited if it is not integrated within activism of the 99%. So let’s address the problematic grassroots movement with regards to political and worker power, and try to develop a meaningful strategy for integration.

Mindfulness and the Movement

Apart from green activism we now have mindfulness as an entry for path activists into the movement. But let’s have no delusions, mindfulness is far from the core of the movement. At present the movement’s approach is to conflict with the 1% over financing the needs of the 99%, the 1% appropriate finance through their system-for-the-rich and the grassroots movement develops strategies of political and trade union organisation to demand that the 1% give back - and that is not working.

Basically the grassroots movement is all about money that the 1% have taken from the 99% and they want it back. This approach has a reasonable assertion and strategy but it is not working and the position of the movement is getting less and less effective following this approach. As already established it is a strategy of conflict, and if it were any way effective it would be an ongoing tug-of-war for the financial accumulation of the system-for-the-rich.

From Adversity to Mindful Survival

So let us examine this strategy from a path perspective. Let us propound a strategy of mindful survival. People turn to the movement because of suffering. Because of their conditioning they see the source of that suffering as primarily the lack of money, and if they have lost their jobs that is the lack of money. Trade Unionism with its long-term strategy of defending jobs is bound to “lose” because of the insane automation of the system-for-the-rich, but as a community we do need to highlight resistance to automation unless there is 100% employment. But ongoing trade unionism is simply conflict, the 1% and their government and middle management bosses have the money and the 99% want it - even when their wage demands are more than survival - very rare now. However a pathtivist can support a trade union when it comes to survival - survival is a strategy where pathtivists are in harmony with the trade union movement even if they are not in harmony with trade union strategies.

But the suffering is not simply that of survival, increasingly there are issues such as work-based stress that can be addressed by the mindful and mindfulness. The well-being of the workforce is beginning to be addressed through trade unionism, and a strategy of mindful survival could be a trade union strategy that pathtivists could get on board with - working in harmony with existing trade union organisations to ensure mindful survival.

Mindful Trident

So we have a harmonious mindful trident - mindful labour, mindful consuming and mindful survival, and with this trident along with green activism pathtivists can enter the movement.

But when it comes to political power there is little for the pathtivist to do as politicians are mostly concerned with ego. However such power cannot be ignored. The egos of political power are connected to the effectiveness of the grassroots movement; typically the Labour party grew out of the working-class although it has long lost its roots. Once the connection has been lost, politicians are headless guided only by their egos seeking power and wealth. Hence globally we have many two-party systems where one party of egoic politicians pretends to be rooted in the grassroots movement. Relying on connections lost in history these two parties contend with each other for power but because of lost connection both parties are only doing the bidding of the system-for-the-rich as the many egos search for power. For the pathtivist building a mindful grassroots movement is sufficient, and their political involvement would be advising against exploitation by manipulating egos.

Mindfulness brings integration

As is evidenced, the green movement has failed along with the rest of the grassroots movement, and part of this failure is the lack of integration; mindfulness brings that integration. One core conflict within the movement is that green activists cannot support greed-based Marxist strategies. A blinkered Marxist would conflict over the profits without being concerned for the resources and therefore the planet that was the basis of this profit. Because capitalism is expansionist so is Marxism as it chases a greater share of the spoils - the spoiled planet. If the grassroots movement focuses its understanding on the system-for-the-rich and the damage it does then the greens can unite with the grassroots movement without obstacle; in terms of the mindful trident mindful consuming is very GREEN.

Trident - a cute gimmick?

For zandtao this mindful trident is a significant entry or involvement in the grassroots movement but at first glance it appears gimicky - and maybe cute. But why is it significant?

Firstly the trident could be considered symbolic as to what the path has to offer the movement. But second it can be symbolic of evolutionary change, and this is significant because the path wants to bring evolutionary change to the movement.

Grassroots just reacts now

At present the grassroots movement just appears to be reactive. On a grand scale that reaction is revolution, on a smaller scale the movement reacts to adversity through minor conflict. Typically something happens, the movement reacts and creates an action that resists or conflicts, such responses are simply attachments to the actions of system-for-the-rich. Effectively these reactions are as much a part of the system-for-the-rich as the decisions they make to add to their accumulation. It is understandable why everything is so reactive. The system-for-the-rich has created apathy, few people are involved in activism, so those few are stretched and can do little more than react when something arises.

For some long-term stalwarts in the movement they work to build - or at the moment sadly - attempt to maintain the movement. Their involvement in terms of “daily actions” is to maintain the limited strength of the movement through organising. These “daily actions” are working towards evolutionary change but many of these stalwarts still have revolutionary change or change-through-conflict as their ideal but they know that cannot happen whilst the movement is so weak. At a time of conflict they might then change to conflict mode, and join the reactive response. What a pathtivist brings to the understanding is that any focus on conflict, any reactive positions that are taken tend to be self-destructive. What is required is a movement that is working for evolutionary change by building involvement.

Where are all of Greta’s kids - ? .zandtao suggests lost. Their hopes were built up to this global demo (20/9/19), nothing happened other than inspiration, leading to heartbreak, anger, frustration and apathy. What was there for them to do? Join the Green grassroots movement that appears mostly ineffective seeking a green revolution? Join the grassroots labour movement that seeks Marxist revolution. Join religious grassroots movements that perhaps focus on recruitment?

There was nowhere effective for those kids to go - except maybe some conflict strategy based on past idealism.

As a follower of the path and a seeker, zandtao feels sad and some shame at this. There is nowhere for those kids to go. There may well be individuals who find groups either activist or religious to join but there is no Culture of Awareness (CoA) that is attempting to bring about evolutionary change. As soon as an individual (one of Greta’s kids) sees the need for change, they have touched the path - they have touched the need to end their own conditioning. In terms of the system-for-the-rich they have touched the need for evolutionary change, in terms of the path they have become cursorily aware of their conditioning and how cursorily inimical that conditioning is to survival. Where is the grassroots movement for evolutionary change? Where is the Culture of Awareness (CoA)? Divided and often enough in conflict with each other because of the egoic conditioning they are trying to emerge from.

addresses the path, and says to seekers “why are so few people who have developed some awareness not embodied within the grassroots movement?” And through their involvement why aren’t they influencing the movement to become evolutionary change? And what can that involvement be:-

Eckhart's people

What about Eckhart people? His teachings are sound and clearly influential, and thanks to Oprah part of a movement of understanding globally. Within this Eckhart-Oprah movement there will be various levels of understanding of the path whilst some embrace and understand “A New Earth” and others have just touched it. Amongst these people how many have chosen to go into grassroots activism? Yet amongst them many would see as their essence - their path - a need for change. (Not a question for Eckhart and his people only, the same could be said of the followers of any spiritual teacher.) The way conditioning has separated people seeking change from the activists movements is perhaps the greatest success of conditioning. An active united movement seeking compassionate change is perhaps the greatest fear of the system-for-the-rich.

zandtao suggests there is an imperative of embodiment. There are times when seekers need to follow but following is not a skilful path - it is a temporary way to learn. Once the individual seeker feels s/he has reached a sufficient level of transcendence, then the imperative of embodiment is substantive. Some become teachers but in truth there are sufficient teachers, the lack of the development of awareness is not the level of teaching but the level of commitment - drive to follow the path - determination. And once there is determination and the seeker is ready, there is no need for “more teachers” because these teachings are so readily available.

But there is a need for evolutionary change, and a strong need for the path to develop that evolutionary change - and the need for pathtivists to be involved in activating that change. Through pathtivism:-

the path can work on evolutionary change.

Strategy - what is the question now?

The mindful trident gives access to embodiment if embodiment is to go beyond teaching. So what are the strategies of embodiment - of the mindful trident?
