Vision is seeing what is independent of conditioning seeing with atammayata. For zandtao so far is accessed via the lwt triangle:-

Insight comes from vision through wisdom, they are sparks of vision that come through. As sparks they have no words but come as feelings usually in meditation. Such feelings gain substance through words in manifestation, and then become understandable when those words get written initially as blogs now parts of z-quests.
Vision is seeing consciousness, and this faculty of seeing that is beyond sense is a grace, it is being part of consciousness. When zandtao sees patriarchy, he is not seeing how patriarchy works in society so much as seeing how patriarchy is corrupting consciousness and its graces. He saw that patriarchy restricts love, and saw the importance for society to love. Wisdom, a grace, is allowed by patriarchy but embodiment sampajanna wisdom-in-action is not. Love is a motivation, a power that enables wisdom to be acted upon, and it is this power that patriarchy fears. This understanding comes through vision, can manifest through insight and then writing, or vision comes through as awareness that is manifested through writing.
In meditation zandtao at the moment experiences vision as the culmination of ZPAP. Releasing conditions he builds up atammayata, this allows him to cultivate love and bring down wisdom that fills the vihara. He then takes this love-wisdom and focusses on seeing. This seeing often begins with a yellow sun and if he moves towards this sun (in a sense out of the vihara), a state of vision opens up. These are not thoughts or insights but a state of being with consciousness seeing consciousness. Such seeing does not have bells and banjoes but it is a pleasant harmonious state beyond senses.
Today when he came out of vision, he recalled that he had been thinking of what is vision? - this recall came into his awareness; from that state and recall came this zeersight not as an insight that sparked its way through, but being in the vision-state, leaving that state and embodying that state in this writing. When zandtao looks at this writing he can see thoughts that could have arisen as insights but that did not happen that was not the way this was written. It started as a meditational state, coming out of the state there was an awareness that latched onto the recall that became this zeersight. It is important to see how the process of writing has developed, and see where vision comes in.
