Considering freedom for Venezuela has disturbed zandtao for a while, and has led to this significant embodiment of the path as grassroots compassionate liberation - the zandbag embodiment. It follows the path yet it brings a harmony to the movement that zandtao never had before because of his Sacred Wound.
 Embodiment of his Sacred Wound
As intended his Sacred Wound has impacted his spiritual development, and hopefully he has come through that with zeer-consciousness LINK. But until now he had not seen this impact in his embodiment. Out of his upheaval - firstgrace, zandtao turned to compassion - and as a job supposed education. There had been a possible choice as writer but he was not ready to write and thankfully that writing has come in later in life - perhaps more naturally with processing life as limited wisdom.
But what was upheaval? The beginnings of the freeing from conditioning and conformity. So why didn't he choose freedom as his way forward, and quite simply the spiritual answer to all such questions is his Sacred Wound. When this understanding of the balance of freedom and compassion is brought to his own awareness there is the recognition that the grassroots movement needs direction from compassionate liberation.
Systemic Bias reinforces his Sacred Wound
Bringing compassion into his life at upheaval dominated his personal life as a reaction to his upbringing and part of his Sacred Wound. But when he later became a political activist his compassion reacted to the systemic bias of the system-of-accumulation at the time, and his activism became socialism. At that time it was the only choice for activism even though there was some freedom activism going on.
Compassion and socialism
His ego brought compassion and socialism together for bill; although there were clear restrictions on freedom within socialism and, more so, with communist states; his compassion felt that the greater good that came from socialism overcame any such restrictions. Even now it is hard for zandtao to see beyond this when he sees the global harm caused by the system-of-accumulation.
Seeing the Restrictions to Freedom
Zandtao's upheaval gave him sufficient freedom from conditioning and conformity that he could focus on compassion. But he was still not free from all conditioning and conformity - just sufficiently free to focus on compassion because of his Sacred Wound). With this level of freedom seeing compassion as a priority in the system-of-accumulation seemed obvious. But was it? Wasn't the priority gaining the freedom that bill had got almost by accident through upheaval? This focus has given bill a compassionate emphasis throughout his consideration of activism because of his own Sacred Wound.
Developing Freedom and Compassion
If you study zeer-consciousness LINK then you can see that freedom comes first - freeing oneself of the restrictions of ego, suffering and clinging. What follows is then an autonomy that because of his Sacred Wound was equanimity - love-wisdom balance, and this autonomy led to aligning with consciousness - compassionate liberation. Understanding how we can implement an approach towards compassionate liberation is the zandbag embodiment.
Why bill rejected libertarianism
There were two primary reasons that bill rejected libertarianism:-
Libertarianism rejected socialism that bill had linked to his compassion.
libertarianism was financed by the system-of-accumulation that wanted deregulation to exploit global resources.
Because bill's firstgrace upheaval had bypassed any struggle for freedom, he did not give the priority to developing freedom from the conditioning and conformity that is integral to the system-of-accumulation. Rather than recognising the importance of the struggle for freedom that so many people are undergoing, bill found himself in conflict because this freedom struggle was being manipulated against socialism. And in bill's mind that meant that the freedom struggles were working against compassion.
zandbag embodiment
The zandbag embodiment attempts to unite the forces for freedom and compassion to follow the path that is compassionate liberation. This means bringing together people whose emphasis is on freedom with those whose emphasis is on compassion. This is very hard when we talk of socialism.
Why Venezuela brought out compassionate liberation
Venezuela brought into contrast two worlds:-
Living within "system-of-accumulation"
Living within "socialism" in this "system"
Most countries in the world accept the system-of-accumulation and try to find a way of governing within the system. As described here LINK China has developed its own China Trade Empire within the system-of-accumulation, at this point in time the China Trade Empire is beneficial to China and its trading partners rather than bringing the harm of the system-of-accumulation; the China Trade Empire does not address that harm but works within the system.
Venezuela chose Chavismo and this form of socialism confronted the system-of-accumulation. The system responded the way it usually does by measures of destabilisation and economic sanctions. Because the system-of-accumulation is going through horrendous changes caused by the Christian Nationalist use of Trump and racism as a vehicle, there is not sufficient strength to go against Trump and the way he broke international law by kidnapping Maduro.
Zandtao began to question what was happening in Venezuela where there was hardship and suffering. This suffering was as a consequence of Chavismo in a world of accumulation and how Maduro chose to respond. Whilst Chavismo was initially popular it now required an authoritarian approach to survive, and people were suffering. Why should the people suffer?
The socialist answer is simply to point at neoliberalism and its consequences, but there has been a history of suffering for socialist countries within the system-of-accumulation. Why would non-committed people choose this suffering?
How does the Destabilisation work?
Destabilisation is a tactic that goes against the spirit of international law of autonomy and sovereignty; when the world sees Trump kidnap Maduro there are cries concerning law, but if a disreputable local is paid by an outside player it does not meet with such outcry.
The CIA is famous for destabilisation especially last century, this century it has been countered by Russian "interference in elections". One famous "CIA" case was Ollie North's Iran-contra affair, for bill this was particularly bad as the contras were simply the private guard of the ousted dictator. For socialists it is easy to dismiss destabilisation because of such questions of legitimacy. But what if someone is genuinely seeking freedom? What if the socialist government is felt to be causing restriction and individuals respond seeking money to support their freedom?
But for the system-of-accumulation destabilisation is not concerned with freedom. With the ongoing expanding necessity of capitalism they are always seeking markets and resources. Destabilisation can enable the acquiring of such markets and resources as quid pro quo for causing a coup - again inappropriate action contrary to the spirit of international law.
Freedom from socialism - Gorbachev
What if an individual genuinely feels that they cannot be free in a socialist country, what do they do? In general socialists do not have compassion for such freedom-seeking individuals on the grounds that they should support the good works of the socialist government - community pressure; this intolerance towards freedom could be questionable.
Gorbachev throughout Glasnost and Perestroika condemned the stagnation within the USSR recognising that it stemmed from the system of government; the USSR was not utilising human ability restricting it through state mechanisms. This was a consequence of USSR's "dictatorship of the proletariat", and if there was no destabilisation the system might have been successful and evolved to avoid stagnation. But the system-of-accumulation could not allow this, a world whose markets and resources they could not access to.
Gorbachev's position could be simplified to that of enabling Soviet peoples to be free to be entrepreneurs. What bill considered as Gorbachev's genuine attempts to evolve the communist system to remove stagnation and enable a freer use of human capacity quickly led to the downfall of the USSR. For zandtao underlying this stagnation and subsequent downfall lay the individual need for freedom.
Freedom - Misunderstood Sheeple
When freedom is discussed in terms of a social movement such as libertarianism LINK, the term sheeple is used. When the term sheeple is used it is a criticism that the other person does not realise how much conditioning and conformity is carried out by the government. It has to be understood that there is some truth in this. But the misunderstanding is far deeper than this, the prison that restricts is the spiritual prison of conditioning and conformity that comes from upbringing. In some government practices there is designed conditioning and conforming, but for zandtao most conditioning and conforming is not by human or governmental design - it just happens as part of upbringing.
Upbringing prisons
For those people who seek freedom politically, the political limitations are that of regulation and governmental interference with personal choice. For such people socialist systems are an antithesis because the socialist ideal is a country's management to provide for the economic needs of all - needs being the survival basics of housing, food, healing and learning. When the true prisons of freedom are not recognised, such governmental interference is considered an infringement of personal freedom.
The Freedom Ego
Spiritual liberation is best understood as atammayata, when a person is in a state of atammayata then they cannot be conditioned or conformed. In such a state the person has worked through the conditioning and conforming of their own upbringing, and then as adults developed spiritually so that they do not take on any new conditioning or conforming. Atammayata is a state where there is no prison of conditioning and conforming; this is the genuine spiritual freedom zandtao describes as liberation.
What happens when an individual is not striving for atammayata - this genuine freedom? They remain imprisoned within their own level of conditioning and conforming. Commonly this imprisonment objectifies the government and regulation as the source of their "imprisonment". As a consequence government is blamed for their ongoing imprisonment, their freedom ego will continue to blame government, and so this individual will never be free. As with other egos this freedom ego blocks the inner journey required to remove the conditioning and conforming of upbringing.
21st Century Libertarianism
This political movement of libertarianism has grown to have significant impact on the politics of the 21st century. Within this movement there are many people genuinely thinking that societal problems are based in government and regulation. With its emphasis on deregulation and government interference it had strong financial backers because the system-of-accumulation also sought freedom from the limited governmental regulations that prevented them from exploiting resources. For zandtao it is the power given by this alliance with the system-of-accumulation that has enabled the development of libertarianism as a political movement.
Libertarians
It is the freedom ego of libertarians that needs addressing in order to prevent the system-of-accumulation from exploiting the genuine aspects of this movement. It is zandtao's contention that these people are feeling the need to remove the restrictions of conditioning and conformity that came from upbringing, and it is this freedom that they are seeking deep-down. But when they seek a freedom-home they find libertarianism, and this home emphasises the restrictions of government. The spirituality of compassionate liberation also sees government as a restriction but there is a pragmatism towards government based on the current level of spiritual development. Helping libertarians follow their inner journey to remove the restrictions of conditioning and conforming from upbringing is the way to work with libertarians.
Conflict with socialism
Amongst others socialism is a compassionate clinging to the ditthupadana that was described by Marx and developed from there, each socialist has some level of commitment to this compassion. But this is not a compassion of compassionate liberation, it is a compassion that is limited by the clinging to ideas - whatever ideas the individual sees as socialism. These socialists are restricted by the system-of-accumulation and their limitations do not see beyond their ideas as socialism has some level of compassion.
First and foremost the freedom ego reacts to any impositions placed on it blaming those impositions for their own lack of freedom. So when a government applies socialist principles at any level the freedom ego sees those applications as impositions. Hence we have a conflict between freedom and compassion because of the respective egos.
Governments of the system-of-accumulation
As a generalisation a socialist perspective sees "western" governments they see the impact of the revolving door of business - an aspect of the system-of-accumulation. On the other hand a similar generalisation has the libertarian perspective of those same governments restricting personal freedoms. Factor in the manipulations concerning racism, immigration, changing roles of white people in western societies and we have a level of conflict in western societies that is so dangerous.
Peace and Harmony First - Path First
As usual there is no solution involving ego, the path of radical love as compassionate liberation is what can bring peace and harmony. Neither the people who seek freedom nor those who seek compassion can see anything wrong in their positions, and when such positions are idealised and clung to as libertarianism and socialism. Young socialists coming out of education with views that cling to their variety of socialism cannot see the path of freedom nor can they see that they are reacting to their upbringings of conditioning and conforming that also accept in some form the system-of-accumulation. Whilst this reaction goes with time decimating the longevity of socialism, those socialists that remain find themselves in a losing battle to convince the compassion of human society that their brand of socialism is the answer whilst they are pushed back by the financed libertarianism. As bill only had limited contact with libertarianism he cannot comment too much on the way forward for this intellectual freedom. It goes without saying that these intellectuals would benefit from an inner journey towards a state of atammayata - as would we all; once atammayata brings some level of autonomy there will arise the necessary compassion that will end their separation. Equally an inner journey for socialism would lead to an understanding of the relationship between freedom and compassion, they will see how they attained some level of freedom from conditioning and conforming before they committed to socialism. Whilst socialism tends to see that freedom as being free from governmental conditioning and conformity, when they take the inner journey they will see the freedom as a freedom from an upbringing of conditioning and conformity. Hopefully this freedom will bring a state of atammayata that will bring them to the tolerance of compassionate liberation.
