This is a TV award for Gary. zandtao is sure most people know more about what happened than he does. Gary was a popular "Match of the day" host. Apparently he used to blog about support for Palestine, and they axed him. Comments in his speech make it very clear that he was nominated and voted for because of this political censorship. It was this that made zandtao start this stand-up - actions of merit, but not necessarily his typical stuff. |

Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) was a Buddhist monk and activist - a legitimate nomination for a peace prize. Suffering a stroke he lived out his days in the once-exiled Vietnam dying in 2022. His continuation is through Plum Villages of which Brother Phap Huu is one monk. Thay called for engaged Buddhism - pathtivism? |

This is pure grassroots activism. No political allegaiance. Just stand up for truth, stand up for people in harmony - the disharmony - authoritarianism. Harmony - democratic constitution, disharmony - authoritarianism. |

Harmony "wins"  This was the 2nd "No-Kings" rally in which there was a protest of 7 million.What it will produce is not clear but that is not the point. When there is protest organised harmoniously - not based in class or political confrontation, people will stand up. The clip plays interviews from the protest conducted by Marianne, people who turned up despite propaganda that presented No-Kings as extremist. Hopefully this is a harmony trend of pathtivism  |
