When right-minded people see Trump they see grossness and defilement, and for many his narcissism is an aberration. History belies this, it is not the narcissism that is an aberration merely the gross facade.

At 44.50 of the Crispin's vid discussed here as part of This pathtivist and Venezuela, Jeremy said this document is key to the whole thing. And the document he held up is the National Security Strategy (NSS), and he went on to discuss it - do listen. As Jeremy says this is well-written - not the grossness that comes out of Trump's mouth, and it is a continuation of the narcissistic history of the West.

Europe Expands

It is worth going back in history to see the continuity, and it began with Spanish gold. Even as the conquistadors landed their very bodies were weapons, and the land that began as indigenous knowledge became perverted by narcissism. Once the gold was brought back to Europe, it changed primarily to British hands and funded the largest empire at that stage. Centuries later there was not one empire, and they fought over the African cake in what was called the First World War. There was attempted appeasement amongst fellow narcissists but this failed and they fought again. And this time there was victory - for US neocolonialism.

Rise of the US

Spain had taken the gold but they remained for other resources in Latin America. Seeing the benefits English narcissists expanded into the US displacing the indigenous people to such an extent that many white Americans see themselves as Americans - the original people of the USA.

After the arrival of the colonists narcissism reared its head, they separated and began the rise of the US hemisphere - America First. Whilst internally they were establishing the United States - killing off the indigenous - and uniting different narcissisms, there was consideration of the hemisphere - they wanted the Europeans out. This was not for the indigenous people but for the Europeans who became the new Americans. This was an America First that was primarily concerned with US sovereignty and no colonial interference - initially by independence from the English and then with the Monroe doctrine from Europeans in the Americas.

Hemisphere develops wealth

"Native Americans were enslaved, but it became less common and less viable than African slavery because they could easily escape due to knowing the land and having kin nearby, which often led to violent conflict, while disease decimated populations, reducing labor availability, and African slave traders provided a more stable, captive workforce already accustomed to some forms of bondage. Europeans found Africans more suitable for plantation labor, as they were forcibly removed from their homelands, making escape harder and rebellion less connected to community support" [Google AI - why weren't Native Americans enslaved?]

They moved away from slavery when migrant labour gave greater productivity developing the economy into the 20th century. But when they acquired the European colonies primarily in Africa as neocolonialism, that is when the US economy truly developed. Following the 2nd world war US economy boomed and it is this boom MAGA hankers for - is encouraged to hanker for.

Military Control

Narcissism needed to establish cheaper control than the armies of the European colonists, the US hegemonic hemisphere had to show how far they were prepared to go - and that was Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Gore Vidal amongst others pointed out that Japan was ready to surrender but that did not establish global military control; nuclear devastation did. The ultimate threat - this is what US narcissism is willing to do. This one act enabled the wealth of the post-war era. The US has maintained nuclear dominance, is there a need to demonstrate their narcissism? Perhaps not with Trump whose very grossness threatens.

Cold War

The Cold War offered some restraint. Socialism in the USSR offered some resistance to capitalist narcissism but socialism is flawed. No system can be 100% active compassion (active democracy) - what is needed to resist the capitalism, so whilst more people are involved in a socialist government eventually ego takes over and the dictatorship of the proletariat becomes the basis for a socialist narcissism. In the end this attempt to restrict US narcissism failed.



Global Policeman - We're coming for you!

At the end of the Cold War the US fell into the role of global policeman, and because they were unrestricted they targeted the oil they wanted. With the formation of Israel oil being controlled by Arabia was not a possibility, and the US came for any oil that would not make a compromise; they came for one state after another. It has to be understood that in the Middle East all states were vulnerable for US plucking because they were all dictatorships. The vacuum of MIC profits (following the Cold War) manufactured a War on Terror, and globally there was a war against Muslims of which only a few fought back, most dictators sought an accommodation.

Rise of the Chinese Trade Empire

The Chinese 20th century was the epitome of hell on earth with one human-induced catastrophe after another creating chaos. But somehow the end of the Cold War brought sense to China and there began the empire through trade. This trading empire was welcomed after the centuries of military colonial might - and then the neocolonial nuclear narcissism of US hegemony. Whilst there was always the need to appease military control it was much more sensible to develop equitable trade. The US lost markets to the China trade empire and even bought goods from the empire themselves because they were cheaper.

America First

MAGA as a strategy is failing unless it is seen as a stepping stone. The rhetoric that presents Hispanics as illegal immigrants and scapegoats won Trump the vote, but within MAGA there is no economic substance that will provide jobs. America First is a business plan that provides economic substance through militry coercion - but will there be jobs because of AI?

The business plan of America First is for the US to become an economic hub, an economic centre of excellence that countries will choose to trade with. Once there is this economic plan, power and influence will do the rest; but in this integrated plan there is thedrive and motivation of the coercion of military control.

US Hemisphere

A significant failing of MAGA was the lack of resources. An economic hub needs resources - needs supply chains. Hence we have what the document calls the Trump corollary to the Monroe doctrine, but media are calling the Donroe doctrine. The US hemisphere of North and South America will provide all the resources that America First needs to create this hub.

Venezuela

The America First strategy is not flawed like MAGA, but it is a business plan that needs resources - sadly still the first needed resource is oil. Trump calls the oil in Venezuela US oil. Whilst this sounds stupid it is not, it is a recognition that the US hemisphere will provide resources to the economic hub - US oil. And there is coercion - to begin with the kidnapping of Maduro. But there is not regime change because America First is not interested in ideologies, they only want the resources to build up the hub. Hence Trump left it open, he did not call for Mochado - he only wanted the oil and other resources later. He is coercing trade.

Economic Sovereignty of the Hemisphere

America First Donroe Doctrine) assigns America as the economic hub, and accepts economic sovereignty over the hemisphere. The plan coerces trade with the hub from within the hemisphere especially in terms of resources. As the Centre of Excellence is established with the improved economy, then it would be natural to choose America First. Accumulation is investing in AI, and America First sees this AI as a beacon of this Centre of Excellence.

Greenland

Greenland is not a quirk. It is surmised that Greenland has AI mineral resources - rare earths, and strategically it forms a natural barrier within the Arctic. Look at these maps:-



Geographically Greenland is in the US hemisphere so it is part of America First. Trump's gross "diplomacy" means it is already America First by plan and coercion, who will stop the Donroe doctrine?

MIC

zandtao questions what happens to the MIC. Are the coercive military requirements for the US hemisphere enough for the MIC? With the projected end of the US as global policeman, the NSS pressures other nations to arm. The NSS does not discuss NATO but encourages Europe to pay for its own defences. Will Europe use MIC?

The Indo-Pacific is discussed below. Will the MIC benefit from the required arming of the Quad?

Does the MIC have time to diversify into AI? Or will it be sufficient for the MIC to be a reason for trade with the Centre of Excellence?

China's Trade Empire

China's Trade Empire is blocking MAGA because of the cheap trade. How will China react to the US hemisphere?

China's Trade Empire has recently been built up through the BRI - Belt and Road Initiative. China has heavily invested in infrastructure in order to create the means for trade.



In terms of the US hemisphere the BRI is into Latin America through Panama Canal and Chancay, Peru. "Currently, 21 Latin American countries have formally engaged with the BRI by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs). This list includes key economies such as Chile, Argentina, Peru, and Venezuela, with Colombia recently declaring its intention to join. It is important to note that these MOUs typically do not create legally binding obligations under international law. Interestingly, despite its robust commercial ties and numerous cooperation agreements with China, Brazil has notably opted not to formally join the BRI, a strategic decision that highlights the diverse approaches within the region" [Speyside]. America First will require trade within the US hemisphere not through MOU but coercion. How will this pan out? At present it is cheaper to trade with China - the US does it, economically how will the US make America the First trading place?

Indo-Pacific, We're coming for you

The China Trade Empire will not withdraw from trading without incentive. China thankfully is not military, and if there is sufficient trade it would seem they could be satisfied with leaving the US hemisphere. Is the Eastern hemisphere enough? The BRI obviously focuses on the Eastern hemisphere with a great focus on the Indo-Pacific region, would that be enough for the China Trade Empire ?

America First would want BRI out of its hemisphere. Maybe there would be military coercion within Latin America but the real pressure could be applied in the Indo-Pacific. The whole direction of the NSS is away from involvement outside of the US hemisphere, but if China does not get out then America is coming for the Indo-Pacific. In the NSS they promote the notion of the Quad - Japan, Korea, Australia and India enabling trade in the Indo-Pacific. They also promote the chimera of a Chinese toll in the South China Sea as an excuse for Indo-Pacific activities. But if China withdraws from the US hemisphere those possibilities could all go away.

After the Cold War the US went for the Middle East. Israel had already divided Arabia but this was reinforced by innumerable wars as part of an anti-Muslim strategy - the US had gone for them. The Middle East was vulnerable because Middle East countries were/are dictatorships so they were easy to divide. The problem with the Indo-Pacific is that these countries are dictatorships as well so are fundamentally as unstable as the Middle East countries, what would happen if America went for them? But would that happen if China did not follow through with the MOUs in Latin America?

Two Hemispheres

America First de facto is creating increasing polarisation - by coercion, it is creating America as hub in the US hemisphere. And they are letting go of the global policeman in the Eastern Hemisphere restricting the China Trade Empire to the non-US hemisphere.

Nuestra America

As part of his pathtivist awareness zandtao is making more of an effort to follow the analysis of Progressive International. They had this to say on following Venezuela - "No. 1 | Nuestra America":-

"Dear friend,

On 5 January — two days after U.S. bombs fell on Caracas and US special forces kidnapped Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro — the United States’ Department of State posted a graphic to its social media accounts. Over a black-and-white image of Donald Trump, it declared: “This is OUR hemisphere.”

Three days later, Trump announced that the United States would “start now” launching land attacks inside Mexico, under the pretext of targeting drug cartels — extending the same doctrine of force beyond Venezuela’s borders and making clear that no nation in the region is exempt....

Under the banner of the ‘Donroe Doctrine’ — Trump’s grotesque renovation of the two-century-old Monroe Doctrine — the United States has escalated from violence administered by spreadsheets to violence delivered by missiles, announcing its intention to rule the Americas by force.

These actions are not subtle, nor are they dressed in the language of law or shared morality. Trump has been explicit: the assault on Venezuela is about oil, calling it “one of the most precise attacks on sovereignty.” His Vice President, JD Vance, went further still, boasting that beyond “controlling the incredible natural resources of Venezuela,” the attack was meant to “make people afraid to cross us.”

This is what “Our Hemisphere” means: fear, force, and plunder....

When the United States government claims the hemisphere as its own, it is not speaking for its people. It is capital speaking — against workers, peasants, Indigenous peoples, and popular majorities struggling for sovereignty, dignity, and democratic control over their futures. As the Latin American liberator Simón Bolívar foresaw nearly two centuries ago, “The United States seems destined by Providence to plague America with misery in the name of liberty.”

Against this vision of possession stands another: Nuestra América...."

As a response the Progressive International "is returning to Bogotá to organise an emergency convening of governments, political leaders and movements to defend Nuestra América. On 24 and 25 January, we will honour the legacies of Bolívar, Juárez, and Martí not with ceremony, but with commitment — by articulating a common plan of action to defend the unity of the Americas and the liberty of its peoples from the tyranny of foreign domination."

How effective will this be? When you see the exodus from Venezuela because they are just people trying to live? When you saw committed Nicaraguans usher in Violeta Chamorro because they are just people trying to live? Nuestra America?

Pathtivist Response

For the pathtivist they follow their own paths, and they embody the path by promoting the path and developing grassroots activism in the community. Awareness of how the system of accumulation is working is part of pathtivism. Recognising that narcissism works against unity and harmony is part of pathtivism. Two hemispheres is not good for the harmony of the planet. America First is narcissistic and damaging esp for the people of the US hemisphere but it is only a continuation of the system of accumulation - continuibg narcissism. Outwardly the world may be changing but for the pathtivist there continues to be the need to follow the path and promote harmonious grassroots activism.

Projected Update

This NSS is not the first although it is perhaps the first indicating such a significant development of the narcissistic hegemony. zandtao has no intention of attempting and failing to follow the details of the hegemony but perhaps he will check the NSS in November and update.
